Things are Getting Real

Baby preparation is in full swing at the our house! From the day we found out I'm pregnant we've be doing a little bit here, a little bit there, but yesterday the crib arrived (thanks, Mom!) and Will put it together (I helped a bit). Suddenly, our guest bedroom is really, truly, a nursery.

The arrival of the crib was at the end of a busy day of visiting stores to look at furniture, and visiting a nearby daycare we are considering for when I go back to work after leave (I'm not on leave yet- just summer :) ). It was a little surreal walking through the daycare and realizing this was about to become our reality (the cost of daycare is also a little surreal- but I'll avoid going all political here).

So crib is up, we've finally decided on a plan for the nursery, and now we have a lot more work to do.
